Peter-Christian Olivo
Managing Director and Chief Compliance Officer
Peter-Christian Olivo, one of the co-founders of Sage Canyon Advisors,
currently serves as one of our Managing Directors and as our Chief
Compliance Officer. In this position, Mr. Olivo is responsible for all
of Sage Canyon Advisors’ regulatory compliance.
In addition to Sage Canyon Advisors, Mr. Olivo serves as the Executive
Vice President and General Counsel of Circadence Corporation, a Boulder,
Colorado-based industry-leading provider of wide area network (WAN)
optimization technology to the US Government and commercial enterprises,
a position he has held since 2000. In this role, Mr. Olivo is
responsible for all legal and regulatory matters for Circadence and has
played an integral role in several high profile transactions for the
company, including the sale of its VR-1 online game division to PCCW
Japan for $48 million in stock and cash in 2001, and a $100 million debt
and equity transaction with Hewlett-Packard Company in 2000.
Mr. Olivo is also active in a number of other ventures, including
serving as a member of the Board of Directors of VirtualArmor, LLC, a
Greenwood Village, Colorado-based company that offers businesses the
professional services needed to secure network infrastructure.
Additionally, he is a manager of VivID Technologies, LLC, a Tupelo,
Mississippi-based provider of radio frequency identification (RFID) tags
and sensor-based solutions to the industry and defense markets. Mr.
Olivo also serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Bill Bass Concerts,
Inc., a Denver-based live music promotion and production company, and as
principal of PCO Consulting, LLC, a Colorado-based consulting firm
providing advice to various clients in the live music and artist
management fields.
Prior to joining Circadence, Mr. Olivo served as an associate at the
international law firm of Hogan & Hartson, L.L.P., where he was a member
of the Corporate and Securities Practice Group. Prior to joining Hogan &
Hartson, Mr. Olivo was a senior associate for the international law firm
of Holme, Roberts & Owen LLP. Mr. Olivo's expertise includes initial and
secondary public offerings, private placements for both venture capital
funds and companies receiving capital, mergers and acquisitions,
strategic partnering and general corporate counseling to emerging growth
clients in the telecommunications, Internet services, bio-medical and
other high-tech industries. During his time in private practice, Mr.
Olivo served as lead associate on several major securities transactions,
including a $1.5 billion offering on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange, which
at the time was the largest non-privatization IPO in the history of the
ASE, as well as over $300 million of private equity and venture capital
financings.
Mr. Olivo has volunteered his time for a number of local non-profit
organizations, including serving as outside counsel for the Eldora
Mountain Ski Club and serving as the founding Vice President – Finance
for the Mile High Chapter of the National Defense Industrial Association
(NDIA). Mr. Olivo currently serves as a volunteer for Boulder County
Cares, a community outreach program that provides services to Boulder’s
homeless population.
